tis the season...

Matt and I have had an exciting week! But the best part of all was Haley and Kyle's Engagement on Thursday!!!! We are so happy for them and so blessed to be a part of it. Kyle surprised Haley on Thursday- came and spent the night with Matt and I on Wednesday (our first slumber party at our apartment!)- and he headed to Austin. He surprised Haley when she got home from work with the apartment set up with candles, rose petals, and a bookshelf he put together- and then popped the question. Then they went to dinner and little did Haley know but we had traveled to Austin for the night to surprise her! It was so great to be there for them. We had a nice little get together with friends and it was a great time to celebrate. God is good and I'm so happy he has brought these two together.

Now it's time to get excited for Lindsey's wedding coming up on New Year's Day! I love it.

let it snow let it snow let it snow

It's Christmas time and I love it! Our apartment has our cute little christmas tree up and I put garland with lights around our island- inspired by my Aunt Debby. But one of the most exciting moments was the SNOW on friday!!! It was a blizzard down here (well for texas). And every other company in Houston let out early- like Matt who got to leave at noon and go play in the snow all day at Cliff and Missy's. But not Travelers- no I had to stay until 6 pm and then go home when the snow had stopped and turned to ice :( However, we were able to make a snowman!! Well snow-woman- Her name was Foxy. We had a really great time hanging out with Missy, Cliff and Brady. And then we took a 3 hour nap on Saturday :) It was great.

Matt and I have a Christmas party for his work on friday (I guess this is like a formal for grown ups...) and then we are going on a Polar Express train ride on Saturday with my parents! I've never been on a train before.

Oh and one final note- Matt and I are basically done with Christmas shopping and the presents are under our tree :) This has never happened to me before! I'm usually the week before Christmas shopper- I guess marriage has done at least one good thing for me :)

Matt made us lattes while we watched the Holiday (the ONLY christmas movie on TV) and wrapped presents.

this was our christmas date night and we made christmas cookies!

we've pretty much already eaten ALL of them already!

Foxy the snow-woman!!
